Endemic Birds of Sri Lanka

In our country there are birds of 20 tribes of 77 castes of bird varieties to about 435. Out of this, 230 varieties of birds spend their life in our country. These birds go about in our country living in forests, building nests, bringing up the young’s and permanently resides here. The other 205 varieties are those who come from other countries. (Emigrants). Out of the 230 bird varieties that are permanent residents, 26 varieties are those Endemic to Sri Lanka says the scientists representing the Bird Association.
